“We are excited to partner with Edmunds GovTech to bring this enhanced payment system to our residents,” West New York Mayor Albio Sires said in a statement.
“The transition to Edmunds GovTech as our new vendor reflects our commitment to continuously improving our services and embracing technological advancements. The new features and improved user experience will make it more convenient for our community to make tax and PILOT payments on time and with minimal hassle or inconvenience.”
With the introduction of Edmunds GovTech, residents can now choose to create an online account by becoming a registered user.
By registering, they gain access to a range of benefits, including the ability to save accounts, store payment methods, and schedule payments. However, it is important to note that creating an online account is not mandatory.
Residents can still make payments without an account, similar to the guest checkout option provided by many online vendors.
“We understand the importance of providing a user-friendly and secure platform for our residents to make their payments,” added Revenue and Finance Commissioner Adam Parkinson.
“Providing a better system to manage sensitive data was important to us and we are confident that this new system will be able to deliver on that front.”
All data entered into the system is securely stored, ensuring the privacy and protection of residents’ information. This added layer of security provides peace of mind for those utilizing this new system.
