Police: Kearny woman charged with hit-and-run at Secaucus gas station

A Kearny woman as charged with a hit-and-run at a Secaucus gas station last week, Police Chief Dennis Miller said in a statement.

On Wednesday, September 26th, at approximately 10:59 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Sunoco Gas Station, located at 249 Route 3 East, on a report of a hit-and-run, Miller said.

During the investigation, on September 27th at about 1:30 a.m., the vehicle involved was located at the Rodeway Inn, located at 459 Tonnelle Ave., in Jersey City.

The police subsequently arrested Vanesa Guaman, 41, of Kearny, for driving while intoxicated.

She was issued her motor vehicle summons, along with an additional four motor vehicle summonses, and she was released to the custody of a responsible adult, police said.
