Shereen Waly, 48, of Bayonne, and Emad Shehata, 41, of Jersey City, were both charged with theft and conspiracy, according to Police Capt. Eric Amato.

Waly was taken into custody on April 23rd at about 11:38 a.m., with Shehata arrested on April 24th at approximately 11:55 a.m. after being identified as stealing store products on April 18th.

On that date, Bayonne police officers responded to Lowe’s, located at 400 Bayonne Crossing Way, on a report of a prior theft.

Officers were informed by Lowe’s Loss Prevention that a cashier, Waly, and a contractor (customer), later identified as Shehata, conspired and committed several thefts between January 10th and April 13th.

According to loss prevention, the two worked in concert to commit 15 separate thefts, totaling $4,908.03, and were charged accordingly, authorities said.
