North Bergen welcomes ‘Buddies of NJ’ facility to offer HIV/AIDS treatment services

The Township of North Bergen welcomed a “Buddies of NJ” facility to offer HIV/AIDS treatment services via a ribbon cutting ceremony earlier today.

The mission of Buddies of NJ is “to provide support, education, and services for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.”

The new facility, located at 1919 Kennedy Blvd., offers mobile HIV testing, counseling, medical and non-medical case management, substance abuse services, peer support groups, and much more.

State Senator (D-32)/North Bergen Mayor Nick Sacco was joined by Commissioners Allen Pascual, Claudia Rodriguez, and Anthony Vainieri, Hudson County Commissioner Robert Baselice (D-8), North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue Executive Director Michael DeOrio, along with local resident and supported.

The facility is open the following hours:

Tuesday 12:30-9 p.m. – ages 18-29
Wednesday 8 a.m.-2 p.m. – ages 18-29
Thursday 12:30-9 p.m. – ages 13-17
Friday 12:30-9 p.m. – ages 13-17
Saturday 8 a.m.-2 p.m. – ages 13-17
