Jersey City man injured in non-fatal shooting in Paterson, authorities say

A Jersey City man was injured in a non-fatal shooting in Paterson late last night, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdez Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi announced.

Paterson police officers responded to the area of Belmont Avenue and North 10th Street on reports of shots fired at approximately 11:20 p.m. on Thursday evening, Valdez and Abbassi said in a joint. statement

Upon arrival, officers located a potential crime scene and the victim, a 42-year-old Jersey City man, who was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
