“On February 8th, tragedy struck a family of Guttenberg. Two year old [sic] Maynor Cana was eating grapes when one got stuck in his throat,” the GoFundMe page description begins.

“Maynor was brought to the hospital where he remained unconscious for over a week Tragically, Maynor passed away this past Saturday on February 18th.”

The unidentified member of the Guttenberg PBA who started the page goes on to explain that Maynor was the youngest of three children and the family has been struggling to pay the wake and funeral arrangements, though the undisclosed funeral home allowed the family to pay at a later date.

“The family has already been through enough and we are trying to raise enough money to cover the rest of the arrangements plus anything else that may help the family. 100% of all money raised will be given to the family. Your generosity at this time of need would be greatly appreciated,” the description reads.

The page, which was created yesterday, has a goal of $3,000 and has raised $70 as of about 11 a.m. this morning.
