“Hello all, my name is Angela and this is my Son and Granddaughter’s house. There was a fire at the next house that trickled over to their place and ruined everything. They lost basically everything,” Angela Williams wrote in the GoFundMe page description.

“Please find it in your hearts to help with whatever you can. My heart is aching and I’m in tears[.]Thank you all in advance. This happened in Jersey City [Wednesday] morning.”

As of 11:30 a.m. this morning, the online effort had raised $1,060 towards their $5,000 goal.

Two days ago, a four-alarm fire spread to 195 and 199 Olean Ave. after initially breaking out at 197 Olean Ave. The American Red Cross was called to assist 17 displaced residents from a total of 6 units within the three buildings involved.

Several cats were also rescued from the scene and no injuries were reported.
