The report, which shows campaign finance activity between October 1st and December 31st, also shows that the council president has $60,977.06 cash on hand.

Two Washington, D.C.-based PACs, New Jersey for All and New Jersey Together (which have the same address) contributed $7,500 and $5,000, respectively, the report shows.

Consultant Alexandra Angelo gave $5,000, Garden Greenz cannabis dispensary owner Brian Markey wrote a check for $3,000, while The Leaf Joint cannabis dispensary co-owner David Jefferson donated $1,875.

On the expenditure side, Oscar James, a former advisor to former Newark Mayors Sharpe James and Cory Booker who pleaded to tax evasion in 2017, was paid $15,000, Roselle-based JHSG, owned by former Assemblyman Jamel Holley, was paid $9,000, and Israel Adeyanju was paid $4,500, all for political consulting.

Also of note, Vernon Richardson, who served as an aide to Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, was paid $2,250 for consulting services.

Watterman is running against former Gov. Jim McGreevey, Hudson County Commissioner Bill O’Dea (D-2), Ward E Councilman James Solomon, and ex-Board of Education President Mussab Ali in the non-partisan November 4th mayoral contest.

Her campaign war chest is lagging behind her opponents for the time being, whose fundraising will be analyzed in subsequent stories.
