Bayonne police seeking public’s help to identify man involved in shooting last month

The Bayonne Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a man involved in a shooting last month, releasing screenshots from surveillance footage of the incident.

On March 25th, the City of Bayonne Police Department Detectives along with multiple members of the City of Linden Police Department arrested Andre Taylor, 33, of Linden, at his residence, according to Det. Sgt. Daniel Murphy.

Taylor was subsequently charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Center.

Taylor was arrested following a thorough and extensive investigation by the Bayonne Police Department Detective Bureau. Bayonne Police Detectives were able to positively identify Taylor as one of the actors in this case, authorities said.

On February 11th, at approximately 9:23 a.m., the Bayonne Police Department responded to the area of 438 Avenue C on a report of a victim with a gunshot wound.

At the scene, Bayonne police officers and detectives discovered a 31-year-old Jersey City man with three apparent gunshot wounds. Detectives were able to pinpoint the crime scene as well as gather additional evidence, officials said.

Bayonne Police Department Detective Bureau is still working to identify another person of interest in this incident.
