Police: Union City teacher’s aide arrested for inappropriately touching a child

A Union City teacher’s aide was arrested for inappropriately touching a child earlier this month, according to an email from the department.

Oscar Acebo Solis, 56, of Union City, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated criminal sexual contact, Chief Nichelle Luster said in an email to East Coast Private Investigations, who had inquired about the incident.

Acebo Solis was arrested at his home on 11th Street back on March 8th without incident and the matter remains under investigation, authorities said.

Luster did not mention where Acebo Solis was employed and/or if he was arrested for inappropriately touching a student.

According to public records, Acebo Solis has worked for the Union City Board of Education since January 1st, 2014 and earned a salary of $28,100 last year.
