A Bayonne woman was charged with driving under the influence, and was also caught with heroin, after crashing into a building on Thursday evening, police said.

Samaa Dessouki, 26, of Bayonne, was charged with driving under the influence and possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin), according to Police Lt. Eric Amato.
On Thursday around 6:42 p.m., Dessouki was taken into custody from the area of 33rd Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard for driving under the influence after officers responded to a call of a motor vehicle crash into a building, authorities said.
Additionally, officers at the scene, officers found Dessouki to be in possession of, as well as and under the influence of, heroin, officials said.
