The juvenile, 17, of Brooklyn, was charged with obstructing the administration of law, resisting arrest, two counts of possessing prohibited weapons and devices, two counts of possession of a weapon unlawful purpose, and two counts possession of a handgun, according to Police Capt. Eric Amato.
On Friday July 15th at about 14:14 p.m., the teenager was taken into custody from the area of 25th Street and Avenue C.
“Officers on patrol noticed the juvenile, a known gang member, acting in a suspicious manner. A stop of the juvenile led to a brief physical altercation which led to the discovery of two firearms on the juvenile’s person,” Amato noted.
He added that both firearms were loaded with hollow point ammunition and no additional information was immediately available.
