Using arguably one of the most scenic parks in Hudson County for the press conference, Davis led off with a succinct, and clear, endorsement.

Afterwards, DeGise noted how happy he was to earn the support of Davis – who he noted didn’t owe him anything after being in office for just under four months.

Once the press conference ended, Davis reiterated his remarks from the podium: how happy he was to work with the county on developing new soccer fields in Bayonne.

DeGise now only needs the endorsements of Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer and Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop to have the undivided support of Hudson County mayors for the June 2015 Democratic primary – where he doesn’t even have a challenger yet.

Bayonne Councilmen Juan Perez and Thomas Cotter also attended the event but did not speak at the podium.
