Authorities investigating Jersey City hit-and-run that left man badly injured

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a hit-and run incident where a 39-year-old Jersey City man was struck and seriously injured while walking on the Lincoln Highway Bridge northbound lane in Jersey City late Saturday night.By John Heinis/Hudson County View

Members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to the area around 11 p.m. on reports of a pedestrian struck with serious injuries.

The driver fled the scene after the incident occured.

The victim was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this incident.
