“I am honored to join THS and to be part of a community committed to nurturing the limitless potential of its students, especially during such a pivotal and exciting time in the school’s history,” Sollitto said in a statement.

“I look forward to working with the dedicated faculty, staff, students and families to continue the school’s tradition of excellence and innovation.”

She currently serves as the assistant head of school for Strategic Initiatives at Poly Prep in Brooklyn. In this role, she has focused on school improvement, including the areas of communications, strategic planning, and human resources.

Prior to her work at Poly Prep, Sollitto taught and led in the math and computer science departments at Nightingale-Bamford for ten years, working to innovate curriculum content.

“We are thrilled to welcome Rebekah Sollitto as the new Head of School at THS. Her extensive experience, innovative thinking and alignment with the school’s mission makes her the ideal choice to lead our institution into the future,” added THS Board Chair Daniel Gans.

Sollitto will be the institution’s third head of school and will begin her new gig on July 1st, 2024.
