On Saturday, April 20th, the West New York Police Department was notified of a sexual assault involving a 13-year-old girl. During the investigation, it was determined the juvenile victim recently met the defendant at a park in North Bergen.

The day prior, Sutuj offered the juvenile money in exchange for sexual acts and arranged transportation for the juvenile to meet him at a North Bergen motel where he sexually assaulted her.

Suarez credited the Special Victims Unit and West New York Police Department with the investigation and arrest, with assistance from the North Bergen Police and the United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.
