“We’ve been doing the concerts in the park, here on the boulevard, for about 10 years now, we do it during the summer, and in the winter we actually do something down, we participate in something down in the Lincoln Harbor with our residents,” said Guttenberg Mayor Gerald Drasheff.

He added that at least four groups host concerts between 70th and 71st Streets and Boulevard East in Guttenberg in July and August. The remaining concert schedule is as follows:

July 26 – Nikki Torres & Rhythm Machine Band

August 16 – The Cameos

August 25 – The Infernos

“Basically every other week [in July and August], except for next week, we run these concerts. As you can see, we get four, 500 people here for the concerts,” Drasheff said.

All of the concerts run from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. and are completely free. Non-Guttenberg residents are also welcome to attend and refreshments are available for purchase.
