Qinglian Li, 27, of Secaucus, was charged with seven counts of animal cruelty for releasing approximately 25 ducks in the wild, seven of which were deceased, according to Police Det. Sgt. Michael Torres.

On Thursday, July 14, at 01:58 p.m., police responded to a call that someone was dropping off ducks. When officers arrived at the Mill Creek Marsh, located at 3 Mill Creek Dr., they determined that Li had transported them and arrested her at the scene, officials said.

No evidence at this time that suggest that this incident is related to the 92 ducks that were dropped off at the Mill Creek Mall, Torres said.
