Lamont Cole, 40, of East Orange, was previously charged with murder in connection with the death of Justo Bory, 87, of Guttenberg, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez reiterated.
A post-mortem examination report issued by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office on February 24, 2025, determined Ricardo Bory, 58, of Guttenberg, died of homicidal violence and the manner of death to be homicide.
As a result, Cole now faces two counts of murder.
On Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, shortly after 10 p.m., the Guttenberg Police Department was notified of two unresponsive men inside a residence at 209 71st St.
The men – later identified as Justo Bory and Ricardo Bory – were pronounced dead at the scene. During the initial response, the Guttenberg PD arrested Cole for interfering with the investigation.
He has been detained at the Hudson County Correctional Facility since the arrest.
Cole was charged with murder relating to Justo Bory on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, after the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office determined the cause of death to be compression of the neck and the manner to be homicide.
