A 28-year-old Jersey City man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl last week, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

Yesterday, members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit arrested Anthony Clinton, 28, for an incident that allegedly occurred on Sunday, February 6th inside of a Jersey City residence, Suarez said in a statement.
Clinton is charged with sexual assault by contact and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arrested without incident at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office and remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
The HCPO has filed a detention motion which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 16th.
Suarez credited the SVU with the investigation and arrest.
