At around 12:45 p.m., Kearny police responded to a call of a car fire at 60 Arlington Ave., the parking lot of his business – West Hudson Lumber & Millwork Company – authorities said.

Giordano, 50, was found inside a blue Volkswagen Beetle. He was pronounced dead at 5:30 p.m., officials said.

The death was not deemed suspicious and it appears no foul play was involved, though the final result from the medical examiner are pending, police said.

Kearny Mayor Al Santos confirmed that Giordano passed away on Saturday, but the details of his death were not immediately revealed.
