A man was charged with stealing $10,500 in tools from three parked vehicles in Bayonne earlier this month, Police Capt. Eric Amato said.

Rahim Wilson, 33, of Newark, was charged with three counts of burglary, three counts of theft, being a fugitive from justice, and having five active warrants for contempt.
Wilson was taken into custody on Friday after ongoing investigations identified him as the actor of numerous previously reported burglary and theft incidents occurring on January 13th.
On that date at approximately 7:35 a.m., a victim reported that an unknown individual had burglarized his parked and unoccupied vehicle in the area of 17th Street and Avenue A, removing approximately $3,000 worth of tools from the vehicle.
Next, at about 8:50 a.m., a victim reported that an unknown individual had burglarized his parked and unoccupied vehicle in the area of Elm Court, removing approximately $2,500 worth of tools from the vehicle.
Finally, at around 9:25 a.m., a victim reported that an unknown individual had burglarized his parked and unoccupied vehicle in the area of Hobart Avenue, removing approximately $5,000 worth of tools.
An investigation conducted by the Bayonne Police Detective Bureau into these incidents led to Wilson being identified as the actor in all three incidents.
Warrants were issued for his arrest and, on January 20th, Wilson was located, arrested, and charged with the aforementioned charges.
Wilson was also determined to be wanted on a full-extradition warrant issued out of New York and was additionally charged with being a fugitive from justice.
During the arrest process, Wilson was also processed on numerous warrants issued out of Irvington, Newark, Elizabeth, Clark, and Weehawken, authorities said.
