Teen, 15, badly injured by Bayonne driver in Flemington; no charges filed & probe ongoing

A 15-year-old boy who was riding an electric skateboard was badly injured by a Bayonne driver in Flemington early Monday morning, with no charges filed and the investigation ongoing.

The crash occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m., at the intersection of Reaville Avenue and Route 202 in Flemington. The teenager, 15, was operating an electric skateboard on Reaville Road and struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Route 202, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The vehicle was being operated by Raymond Lozinak, 61, of Bayonne, who does not have any charges pending at this time.

The victim was transported by helicopter to Morristown Hospital and remains in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
