Police: Jersey City teen arrested for pepper spraying man in Bayonne, possessing a stun gun

A Jersey City teen was arrested for pepper spraying a man in Bayonne over the weekend, as well as for having a stun gun in her possession at the time, police said.

The female juvenile, 17, of Bayonne, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a stun gun, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of pepper spray, according to Police Capt. Eric Amato.

She was taken into custody around 10:09 p.m. last night from the area of 45th Street and Avenue E after being identified as the individual that had just sprayed a 22-year-old man victim in the face with pepper spray.

Additionally, a search incident to custody of the juvenile led to the recovery of pepper spray and a stun gun from her person, authorities said.
