Gary Capone, 33, of Hoboken, was charged with lewdness, criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child, according to Police Det. Sgt. Edgardo Cruz.
Between June 26 and July 12, Hoboken police received numerous reports of a man exposing himself and then masturbating in front of females ages 14 through 35, officials said.
After detectives spent days canvassing and following leads, Capone, a chef at Halifax restaurant, was arrested last night at 11:20 p.m., authorities said.
His bail was set at $9,000 with no 10 percent option. Capone’s arrest had nothing to do with the arrest of David Lorente, who was charged with lewdness for masturbating in front of a woman.
