David Lorente, 49, of Fairview, was charged with lewdness in connection to an incident that occurred on Sunday night, according to Police Det. Sgt. Edgardo Cruz.

A woman told police she was approached by a man “during the late night hours” and asked her to engage in sexual activities with him, eventually masturbating in front of the victim, officials said.

While Lorente was not immediately found on Sunday, detectives conducted a follow-up investigation, generating a compliant warrant and arresting him around 8:05 p.m. the next day.

Lorente was given a $2,000 bail with a 10 percent option, and although unemployed, he was able to post bail and was released after receiving a court date, police said.
