Pascrell blasts ‘staggering con artist’ George Santos over House ethics findings

U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-9) is blasting “staggering con artist” U.S. Rep. George Santos (R-NY) over today’s House Ethics Committee findings that indicate he used campaign cash to pay for OnlyFans subscriptions, botox injections, and spa treatments.

“We did not need any more confirmation, but the House Ethics Committee has confirmed George Santos sought to personally profit from his office at every turn. He has no place in Congress. While this was not a criminal investigation, it was an investigation that found criminal behavior,” Pascrell said in a statement.

“A member of the GOP conference is a staggering con artist facing multiple federal charges for stealing from the public, defrauding donors, and using his position as a personal piggy bank. Yet, when we tried to expel Mr. Santos back in May, every single member of his caucus voted no and voted to keep Santos in office. Enough games. We know all we need to know. George Santos has no business in Congress and should be expelled as soon as possible.”

This is not the first time Pascrell has gone after Santos publicly, referring to him as “the clown from Long Island” back in February as some of his lies began to come unearthed.

A month later, the congressional representative for New York’s third district was indicted on 13 counts including money laundering, wire fraud, and theft of public funds.

Last month, a superseding indictment charged him with 10 more felonies, which included aggravated identity theft and credit card fraud for allegedly using campaign donors credit cards.

In a lengthy social media post, Santos blasted the House Ethics Committee’s report, which also says he “blatantly stole from his campaign,” and noted that he would not seek re-election next year.

“If there was a single ounce of ETHICS in the ‘Ethics committee’, they would have not released this biased report. The Committee went to extraordinary lengths to smear myself and my legal team about me not being forthcoming (My legal bills suggest otherwise),” he wrote.

“It is a disgusting politicized smear that shows the depths of how low our federal government has sunk. Everyone who participated in this grave miscarriage of Justice should all be ashamed of themselves.”

He continued that he would not seek a second term since “my family deserves better than to be under the gun from the press all the time.”

  1. Democrats throwing stones…………GIVE ME A BREAK! As egregious as Santos’s conduct has been – it’s small potatoes when compared to the Biden family corrupt practices. Santos has simply lied on a scale that exceeds even the politicians very low bar but the Bidens have sold influence that apparently impacted US policy and then lied about it. There are plenty of orange jump suits to go around and all of them should be wearing them. Politicians ripping off their campaign funds is a long honored tradition in Washington. How many of today’s Representatives and Senators have had wives, husbands, other family members and close friends drawing paychecks from their campaigns? PLENTY!

  2. While regular crime simply steals from the victim, Santos is the true con man whose object is mockery. His mere presence debases all around him. But I think his voters in New York should be made to suffer with him. The hard lesson will make sure it doesn’t happen again. Nobody ever asked questions of this guy? How did he get through the primary? Who are these clowns running the New York Republicans? Good thing those clowns aren’t over here!
