Latife Robinson, 41, of Jersey City, was charged with aggravated assault, obstructing a governmental function, and defiant trespass, according to Police Capt. Eric Amato.

He was taken into custody at approximately 10:48 a.m. from Burger King, located at 1088 Brodway. Officers responded to the area on a report of a man, later identified as Robinson, refusing an employee’s multiple requests to leave the establishment.

Officers were able to make contact with Robinson, who refused to cooperate and comply with the officers’ numerous commands to vacate the fast food restaurant.

As officers continued their attempts, Robinson grew extremely irate and shouted obscenities at the officers while spitting in the face of one officer. He was subsequently placed under arrest and charged accordingly, authorities said.
