Man charged with stealing $154.47 worth of oxtail meat from Hoboken ShopRite

A man was charged with stealing $154.47 worth of oxtail meat from the Hoboken ShopRite last week, the police department wrote on their police blotter.

Manuel Rodriquez, 44, of Union City, was charged with shoplifting on Tuesday, April 16th.

On that date at approximately 4:35 p.m., Sgt. Dennis Figueroa and Police Officer Harold
Milne responded to ShopRite, located at 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting.

Store security had a man, later identified as Rodriguez, in custody after he tried to
steal $154.47 worth of oxtail meat. He was placed under arrest and transported to
Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing.

Additionally, he was found to have warrants from Bayonne and Jersey City. He was eventually processed and remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, authorities said.
