The Jersey City Police Department is seeking a shooter who struck a victim outside of the Marion Gardens housing complex last night, an official said.

Last night at approximately 9:57 p.m., Jersey City police responded to a shots fired incident at an undisclosed address on Dales Avenue, according to city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione.
Upon arrival, officers observed a man with a gunshot wound to his lower back. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, she said.
Additionally, a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident has been recovered by the JCPD and the investigation is ongoing.
