On Saturday at approximately 12:20 a.m. on the 100th block of Hudson Street (the police station is located at 106 Hudson St.), a victim reported that a dark-skinned man, wearing a white jacket, grabbed her purse and ran off, the Hoboken PD wrote on social media.

The second incident took place in the area of 7th and Garden Streets at roughly 1 a.m., where the victim described the actor as a tall, thin dark-skinned male, wearing black clothing and a white baseball cap, carrying a backpack.

He allegedly grabbed the victim’s purse and ran off.

The Hoboken PD Detective Bureau is actively investigating both cases and asks anyone with information, or cameras in these areas, to please contact Det. Jesse Castellano at CastellanoJ@hobokenpdnj.gov. or 201-420-2100 ext. 3127 or Police Officer Jason Montalvo at MontalvoJ@hobokenpdnj.gov. or 201-420-2100 ext.3122.

“HPD encourages everyone to remember to always use caution while walking alone, especially during the late night and early morning hours. Consider carrying all personal items, like purses and cell phones, in front of you as an extra precaution,” they concluded.
