A Hoboken man was arrested for spitting on a woman and knocking her out in broad daylight at Church Square Park yesterday after displaying erratic and aggressive behavior, public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin said.

Yesterday at approximately 12:30 p.m., Sgt. Tyler Soto and Police Officers Frank Lombardo, Enrico Gnassi, Dylan Archilla, Alexander Miller, Marco Grossman, and Shelby Sieckendick responded to Church Square Park on reports that a man was yelling and cursing at children and elderly people, and then began hitting people.
Upon arrival, witnesses pointed to the actor, later identified as 31-year-old Troy Timberlake, and he was detained. An on-scene investigation determined Timberlake was yelling and cursing at people as they walked by the gazebo, including one woman who he also spit on.
When she turned to address Timberlake, he punched her and then followed her out of the park and punched her multiple times, knocking her unconscious. He then approached another victim, hitting him on the back of his head, near a playground in the park.
Witnesses and officers believed by doing this, Timberlake put multiple children in danger.
Hoboken EMS/Volunteer Ambulance Corps arrived to treat victims, one of whom was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Timberlake was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where he continued to yell, scream, and act aggressively.
He refused to allow officers to fingerprint and photograph him. He was charged with aggravated assault, endangering an injured victim, child cruelty, and refusal to submit fingerprinting.
He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
This is at least the third time this year he was arrested for aggravated assault, threatening someone with a knife back in February and then on a warrant for a weapons charge in May.
This is clearly an extension of the random violence we’ve seen from NYC and other Democrat led cities.

Those who we expect to protect us and pay dearly to protect us have failed us.

“Our system is clearly broken” is one hell of a take for a one-off instance where a disturbed man injured people, was quickly reported, and a slew of officers showed up to arrest him while victims were given aid.
I mean, unless you have access to psychics or are here from the future, not sure what else you expected here. Sounds like the system worked: the violence stopped, the injured treated, the perpetrator booked.

Why is continuously being released from prison. Drugs,alcohol,mental illnesses our society protects that person while putting everyone at risk. Send this to NYC and let’s see this sits with Mr Penny’s case for helping the innocent.

The “Neely/Penny” case has nothing to do with this. A man yelling and screaming and not touching anyone is completely different from someone punching women. Where was the brave “penny” acting guy in this situation. Penny just wanted to act like a hero. Superman always tried not to kill people, Penny was a super eff-up for killing a man. Secondly blame the corrupt system for letting this know menace on the street. I feel it’s done on purpose to cause civil unrest, and it’s working beautifully in their evil eyes.
