The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Route 1&9 yesterday, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced.

At approximately 8:55 a.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified of a collision involving a motorcycle in the area of Sip Avenue and Route 1&9, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said in a statement.
Responding officers found the motorcycle and a GMC passenger vehicle collided near the intersection.
The injured motorcyclist – later identified as Steven Brown, 43, of Jersey City – was transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 10 a.m.
