A bomb threat has evacuated NJCU in Jersey City, necessitating all classes and activities to be cancelled, Acting President Jason Kroll said in an alert to the campus community.

“The Jersey City Police Department has informed NJCU that a bomb threat has been made to the campus. In the interest of everyone’s safety, the school is asking everyone to evacuate the campus immediately,” the alert says.

“All classes and activities are cancelled. The only faculty or staff who are to remain on or enter campus are members of the Department of Public Safety.”

Kroll, who has only been on the job for one week following the resignation of Dr. Sue Henderson, added that updates will be provided as more information is released.
