Cory Reube, 36, of Hoboken, was charged with possession of weapons for unlawful purposes, unlawful possession of weapons, and aggravated assault, according to public safety spokeswoman Marci Rubin.

On April 25, at approximately 5 a.m., Dets. Sgt. William Collins, Bret Globke, Fabian Quinones, Connor Milne, along with Police Officers Paul Quinn and Jesse Castellano, responded to the 1200 block of Park Ave. to execute search and arrest warrants for Reube.

They were assisted by members of the Hudson County Regional Swat Team.

The aforementioned charges are in connection to an April 12th incident, where Sgt. Adam Colon, as well as Police Officers Joseph Spano and Dylan Allegretta, responded to the 1800 block of Park Ave. in Weehawken on reports of a road rage incident involving a firearm.

A follow-up investigation, led by Quinn, determined that after being cut off by another driver, Reube aggressively tailed the other vehicle before pulling up next to it, rolling down his window, and pointing what appeared to be a black handgun at the other car, which had three passengers.

On April 25th, Reube was transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters for processing and then to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.

A subsequent search of his vehicle located an imitation firearm, authorities said, which the Hoboken PD said on X was a BB gun.
