Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-32), also the Hudson County Democratic Organization chairman, received big support from the party at a fundraiser at Nanina’s in the Park in Belleville last night.
The scenic venue had appearances from dozens of elected officials from Hudson County, including:
Hudson County Sheriff Frank Schillari, Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer, Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, Harrison Mayor James Fife, West New York Mayor Felix Roque, Hoboken Democratic Committee Chairman Jaime Cryan and state Senator M. Teresa Ruiz (D-29) – to name a few.
Leading off the ceremonies was Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise. DeGise’s Essex County counterpart, Joseph DiVincenzo, also took the podium to praise Prieto’s work in the NJ Assembly.
Additionally, North Bergen Mayor/state Senator (D-32) Nick Sacco called Prieto “the man of the decade” for what he’s done to unite Hudson County, later introducing him.
Among others in attendance were Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez (D-32) and West New York Commissioner Cosmo Cirillo.
Political imperative Joey Muniz was the master of ceremonies.
