“Tomorrow the city will be opening Hamilton Park and Van Vorst Park. Please adhere to the rules of wearing a face covering,” the city tweeted this evening.

“Dogs must stay on the cement walkways, leashed and off the lawns. Please curb your dogs before entering the park. Thank you and stay safe!”

The announcement of Van Vorst Park reopening isn’t particularly surprising given that their farmers’ market began operating again on Saturday.

Five municipal parks opened at the end of April, with four more following suit at the beginning of this month.

Lincoln Park, a county-run park in Jersey City, has also reopened for recreational use.
