City of Union City announces 2,628 coronavirus cases and 113 fatalities

The City of Union City has announced their latest coronavirus data, which includes 2,628 cases and 113 fatalities, officials said this morning.

“Union City’s confirmed cases are at 2,628 and sadly 113 residents have succumbed to the virus. Their families will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers,” the Union City Police Department posted on Facebook.

“More people are getting tested and treated than ever before. More testing needs to happen in order to save lives. We are pleased to announce that starting Monday, the North Hudson Testing Site will extend their hours for an additional hour each day to accommodate more tests. They are testing close to 400 people a day.”

North Bergen has also topped 2,000 cases and 100 deaths, with 2,066 cases and at least 110 deaths as of yesterday.

Also in North Hudson, West New York reported 1668 confirmed cases and 72 related fatalities on Monday, with Weehawken indicating there are 266 COVID-19 cases, 18 deaths, and 160 recoveries.

Then in Guttenberg, there are 163 cases and 17 deaths, as of Saturday.

On Monday, the New Jersey Department of Health indicated that there are 13,925 cases of COVID-19 in Hudson County and 673 deaths, the second and third most in the state by county, respectively.
