On Saturday, August 15th, LGM Promotions, in collaboration with The Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival, will hold “Night of the Rising Stars” championship at Pershing Field’s Charlie Heger Ice Rink – located at 807 Summit Avenue in Jersey City.

In addition to the action inside the ring, Cotto, the only Puerto Rican fighter to win championship gold in four different weight classes, will be present to support the young fighters.

Cotto made a public appearance in Jersey City back in October 2014 to be honored as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.

LGM Promotions brought the first ever televised championship boxing event to a sold out crowd in the Jersey City Armory in March.

“The team at LGM Promotions, alongside with the Puerto Rican day Parade and Festival, are thrilled to bring another historic evening of championship boxing to Jersey City,” Nick Jayme, a promoter for LGM Promotions, said in a statement.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the first bell at 7:00 p.m. For more information, individuals can call LGM Promotions at 201-314-8241, or email info@lgmpromotions.com.

Ticket prices for the event will be as follows: V.I.P table $125.00 per person, Ringside $65.00, General Ringside $55.00, General $ 35.00. For those inquiring for tickets, can contact LGM Promotions at 201-314-8251 or tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the event.
