A West New York family praised Caridad Rodriguez, the Commissioner of Public Safety, at last night’s board of commissioners meeting for helping to bring an infant to West New York from Southeastern Europe’s Kosovo.

While the details were not immediately clear, Rodriguez was kind enough to shed some light on the unique situation with Hudson County View after the meeting.
“[A West New York family] had to leave Kosovo three years ago and they left they’re young child, a year-and-a-half [old], because to apply to bring him would take too much time, would take to long, so they left they’re child with a relative.”
“We went through the Congressional office for help and we pushed it through, through the embassy, and we finally brought the baby here.”
