Bordentown Mayor Eric Holliday and Glen Rock Board of Education President Damali Robinson are among Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop’s latest four recruits to run for state Assembly seats.

“As we’ve said from the start, this campaign will continue to put people first, not politics. Eric, Freshta, Damali and Don continually stand up for their communities and embody the compassionate, results-driven leadership NJ desperately needs,” Fulop, a Democratic candidate for governor, said in a statement.
“Together, we’re proving that prioritizing people over party bosses isn’t just the right thing to do — it’s how we create a stronger, fairer, and more prosperous future for everyone in New Jersey.”
Eric Holliday is both the first LGBTQ+ committeeman and mayor in Bordentown Township and will be running in the 7th Legislative District.
He is also a retired sergeant from the New Jersey Department of Corrections, where he dedicated 25 years of service in roles such as Hostage Negotiator and Emergency Management Coordinator.
Holliday received extensive management and professional training through the NJDOC and Texas A&M University’s Engineering Extension Services.
A resident of Bordentown Township for over 24 years, he has served on the Township Committee since 2015, including a term as deputy mayor.
Glenn Rock BOE President Damali Robinson is a certified registered nurse anesthesiologist (CRNA) and a military veteran who served as an active-duty U.S. Army officer for nearly a decade. She will be running in the 38th Legislative District.
She currently practices at Hackensack University Medical Center and other healthcare facilities in the region.
Seeking a seat in the 12th Legislative District, Freshta Taeb (LD-12) is a business owner and mental health professional residing in Old Bridge.
She provides trauma-informed care for the veteran community and serves as the Chairwoman of the Candidate and Membership Committee for the NJ Democratic Muslim Caucus.
Finally, Donald Campbell, who lives with cerebral palsy, is the executive director at the Atlantic Center for Independent Living Inc., a community-based non-profit that supports people with disabilities in obtaining the skills and resources they need to live independently.
Given his personal and professional experience, Campbell knows firsthand the challenges of everyday people living in this state. He will be running in the 9th Legislative District.
Fulop has 33 Assembly candidates running with his backing across the state, with an additional four candidates for county commissioner.
