A New Hampshire man caught with heroin kicked and shoved Bayonne cops as they arrested him yesterday morning, police said.

Matthew LaPlant, 34, of Bath, New Hampshire was charged with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin), possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, according to Police Capt. Eric Amato.

LaPlant was taken into custody at about 11:19 a.m. from the area of Walmart for narcotic violations.

During the arrest process, LaPlant resisted arrest by refusing to be handcuffed and also assaulted officers by kicking them and pushing them in an attempt to flee the scene, authorities said.
