“BREAKING: BAYONNE LICENSING CENTER is closed due to an employee testing positive for COVID-19, and will reopen Tuesday, November 24,” the state MVC tweeted at 1:27 p.m. this afternoon.
The announcement comes after Gov. Phil Murphy (D) called the latest coronavirus tallies “devastating,” with 3,877 new cases confirmed statewide, though a computer glitch may have caused a delay in reporting the totals for Monday – where the number of new cases was disclosed was 2,075.
The DMV locations in Jersey City and North Bergen, respectively, have both also closed temporarily in recent weeks after a worker tested positive for the virus.
