A 16-year-old Bayonne girl is alleging that a middle-aged man tried to lure her into his van yesterday morning, authorities said.

Yesterday at 9:17 a.m., a 16-year-old female reported that she was a victim of an attempted luring, according to Police Lt. Eric Amato.
According to the victim, while she was walking in the area of 14th Street and Avenue C, a middle-aged man in a gray sedan beeped at her and motioned for her to get into his vehicle, officials said.
The victim refused his request and the man drove away.
This incident is actively being investigated by the Bayonne Police Detective Bureau and no further information was immediately available.
