Huge clouds of black smoke emerged from the vehicle as it was quickly engulfed by flames, based on a 10-minute YouTube video uploaded by user First Street Dwellers.

While Bayonne Firefighters responded to the incident, which took place around 3:30 p.m., but the fire was still serious enough to destroy everything in the bus besides the engine compartment and the frame.

The jitney bus was not occupied at the time the fire broke out and while it did not appear anyone was injured, officials could not immediately be reached for further details.
