The blaze at 654 Elm St. started at approximately 10:19 p.m. and was deemed under control by about 11:15 p.m., but still caused significant damage according to a 12-minute video of the incident accompanied by fire department radio transmissions.

The Harrison, Jersey City and North Arlington Fire Departments provided aid to the Kearny Fire Department and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.

A GoFundMe page created for the Ignomirello family yesterday has already raised $7,890 of their $10,000 goal, with a whopping 113 people contributing to the charitable cause.
