“In an effort to combat #COVID19, #WestNewYork will be the base site for #HudsonCounty’s oxygen generator trailer. All of our public safety agencies are in desperate need of maintaining a steady oxygen supply,” the Town of WNY wrote on their Instagram page.

“We understand that the only way to defeat this virus is by using an all hands on deck approach. This is a self-sufficient resource and it will help save lives. By working alongside our first responders and giving them the supplies they need, we will get closer to finally flattening the curve. We will get through this together, because #WeAreWNY.”

This afternoon, the New Jersey Department of Health disclosed that there are now 51,027 cases of the coronavirus statewide, along with 1,700 deaths, including 5,879 cases in Hudson County and 132 deaths – the third most in the state by county.

In their daily update on social media, West New York posted that they now have 593 COVID-19 cases and 11 deaths related to complications from the virus.
