“During the past several months, Ward “A” leader Barbara Stamato has done a tremendous job of organizing the JCDC and I hope you consider lending her your vote for the new Chairwoman of the JCDC,” Fulop wrote in a letter to the Jersey City Democratic Committee members.

Fulop was instrumental in having 367 candidates file for Democratic committee, where at least 150 are brand new, with only four candidates with the JCDC line losing in yesterday’s primary election, according to Fulop campaign spokeswoman Hannah Peterson.

The JCDC, also known as the Jersey City Democratic Organization, is currently chaired by Shawn “Sully” Thomas-Sullivan – an ally turned enemy of Fulop who did not seek re-election this year.

Neither Sullivan or Stamato could immediately be reached for comment this evening.
