“Crews are conducting repairs to a water main break near 233 Clinton St. The 8-inch ruptured main has been isolated, and repairs are ongoing. During repairs customers on Clinton Street, between First and Third Streets may experience low or no water pressure,” the city said in a 4:25 p.m. Nixle alert.

“Once repairs are complete, water pressure is expected to be fully restored. Clinton Street will remain closed from First Street to Third Street during the repair process. The #126 NJ Transit bus is being diverted from Clinton Street and will run only on Washington Street until further notice.”

Commuters are also asked to avoid the area until repairs are complete.
