State Senator (D-33)/Union City Mayor Brian Stack broke three ribs after falling down some stairs outside City Hall and now recovering at home.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their calls and well wishes. I was leaving City Hall and fell down some stairs and broke a few ribs,” Stack said in a statement.
“I am in in some pain so I am currently at home, but I am in constant contact with my department directors and offices to ensure the city and district office are running as usual.”
He continued that he plans to “be back very soon” since he does not like to miss a day at the office.
Stack also noted that he was treated for his injury at Englewood Hospital.
